Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ has an Institutional Review Board (IRB) responsible for protecting human subjects participating in research. The Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ IRB convenes monthly and provides review and oversight for all human subjects research activities performed:
All researchers should log in to eProtocol using the link provided below.
After successfully logging in, please verify that you have access to the IRB tab located at the top of the eProtocol screen on the Investigator Home page. If you do not see the IRB tab, you may not yet have the appropriate system access. In this case, please contact Raquelle Rosales directly at rdrosales@utep.edu so that your access can be reviewed and updated as needed. We encourage all researchers to verify their access as soon as possible to avoid delays in submitting or managing IRB protocols.
Additionally, we are actively working to transition all existing protocols from IRBNet to eProtocol. To facilitate this process, we ask that all researchers log in to the eProtocol system as soon as possible. If you require an amendment to your protocol or a continuing review, you will need to transfer your information into the new system. To facilitate this process, the IRB office can send you a PDF copy of the most recent version of your protocol, along with any approved attachments. We are also happy to meet with you to walk you through the process. We anticipate all the existing protocols will be moved over from IRBNet to eProtocol by July 10, 2026.
Thank you and we appreciate your patience as we work through this process together.
Sincerely,
