Special Student Populations
Do Early College High School students attend orientation?
Yes.
- Accelerated: Students still in high school who complete an associate’s degree attend Early College Orientation. After completing one semester at Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ, they no longer need Freshman Orientation.
- Traditional: Students graduating in May/June from high school, with or without an associate’s, attend Freshman Orientation. They are not considered transfer students.
Do international students attend orientation?
Yes. International students must attend:
- Freshman or Transfer Orientation (depending on admission type).
- International Student Orientation (through the Office of International Programs).
Do online students attend orientation?
No. Fully online students should connect with Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Connect.
Do military-affiliated students attend orientation?
Yes, unless granted a waiver. The Military Student Success Center provides additional resources.
Do graduate students attend orientation?
No. Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ students have separate orientations through their departments.
Do readmitted (continuing) students attend orientation?
No. Readmitted students do not need to attend orientation.
What if I’m a dual credit student starting full-time?
You must attend Freshman Orientation.
Do exchange or visiting students attend orientation?
No. They attend a separate international program.
Are athletes required to attend orientation?
Yes. Athletes attend regular orientation in addition to athletics programming.
